Job overview HLCC Head of Finance An exciting key leadership opportunity has arisen within the HLCC management team. The role forms a key part of the Trust’s senior finance team and reports to the Associate Director of Finance for HLCC, with a professional accountability dotted line to the Trust’s Operational Finance Director. They lead the HLCC finance team, which comprises 16 individuals, including direct line management for five roles. Main duties of the job The Clinical Group is made up of five directorates across Royal Brompton, Harefield, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ sites. The directorates are Royal Brompton Heart, Lung & Rehab Services, Harefield Heart & Lung, PACCS (Pulmonary, adult critical care and sleep) and Cardiovascular. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance – HLCC Clinical Group the key responsibilities include: • Working with Directorate Management Teams to ensure they have the resources to deliver safe and effective care and are able to meet financial objectives • Ensuring that financial management is understood across the Clinical Group and that financial information produced enables that understanding • Be responsible as a leading expert on the strategic financial planning agenda and programme for the Clinical Group, including the financial lead on developing financial strategies and business plans. • Responsible for ensuring that the Clinical Groups financial direction is robust and fit for purpose.
