About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. This role is part of a large-scale programme where Mace acts as the Delivery Partner within the Central Government team. You will support the implementation of health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards, ensuring a collaborative approach with all stakeholders, particularly client counterparts. Key responsibilities include carrying out inspections, holding contractors accountable, assisting with non-conformity resolution, developing new standards, analysing audit results and KPIs for continuous improvement, and providing timely reporting to leadership and senior officers. You will manage incident investigations, lead a team of managers and professionals, provide performance management and coaching, and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver cost-effective performance. Additionally, you will manage the HSW aspects of procurement, drive a culture of proactive HSW management, oversee emergency preparedness, ensure legal compliance, secure the safety of the Mace team, and contribute to the net zero carbon transition by managing associated carbon emissions during project delivery.
