About the Role
Your role will be responsible for taking guest orders, communicating with guests, recording and expediting orders to relevant departments whilst ensuring every detail is taken and upselling standards are met. You will deliver a luxurious and high-quality level of service to both guest rooms and residences while managing delivery and service targets. Working closely with the kitchen and rooms teams, you will ensure smooth and consistent service that surpasses guests’ expectations.

Key responsibilities include detailed and precise order taking, managing time-sensitive guest orders and requests, preparing orders for delivery and service, maintaining accurate guest records, upselling and promoting hotel goods and services, and checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage. You will collaborate closely with the Butler and guest services teams and may undertake additional responsibilities in the absence of line managers or senior employees. Other duties may include working in different departments or restaurants as required.

Health and Safety is paramount; you will ensure all hazards are reported and rectified promptly, be fully conversant with departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures, and promote a general awareness of Health and Safety within the department.

Requirements

Experience
Recent experience within in-room dining or a similar role is essential. Knowledge of competitors and event industry trends is required. Experience within a luxury hotel environment working with LQA, Forbes 5* or equivalent standards is desirable.

You must have strong food and beverage knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering exceptional service and experiences in any situation. You should be detail-oriented, able to work well within a team, and have a proven track record of surprising and delighting guests. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken, are essential. Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional appearance are required. An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24-hour operational schedule when required is important.

Qualifications
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English, both verbal and written, is essential. Proven ability to provide high levels of service under pressure is required.
