About the Role
Greystar is a leading, fully integrated global real estate platform offering expertise in property management, investment management, development, and construction services in institutional-quality rental housing. The Investment Analyst will support the Investment function responsible for executing new acquisition and development activities. This role involves research, underwriting, financial modelling, and preparing analyses to assess the feasibility of new investment strategies and opportunities. The Analyst will also assist in analysing and presenting key performance information internally and to external investment partners to enable well-informed, value-enhancing decisions on existing strategies.

The key responsibilities include gathering and analysing market data to identify investment and development opportunities, supporting detailed discounted cash flow (DCF) modelling, monitoring performance metrics such as leasing, income, expenses, and returns, and producing reports and commentaries for internal and external stakeholders. The role also supports the execution of investment strategies including income generation, cost reduction, and value-add initiatives, improves reporting systems and data capture, assists with the mobilisation of new assets and portfolios, and monitors market, industry, and competitor data. Additional duties include completing financial, accounting, narrative, administrative, and other reports necessary for successful business execution.

Requirements

Experience
Essential: Demonstrated experience in an analytical role within investment banking, private equity, or related finance sectors within a relevant geographical region. Strong quantitative background with expertise in financial modelling, valuations, and financial analysis. Proven ability to research, analyse, and present complex financial data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Good organisational skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines. Commercially minded and inquisitive, with a desire to understand the bigger picture and contribute to problem solving. A positive team player with adaptability and a collaborative approach to support team and business objectives. Interest in Real Estate.

Desirable: Experience working in the Real Estate sector, particularly in residential projects or sectors. Fluency in a European language.

You are highly numerate with strong attention to detail, commercially aware, and motivated to contribute to a dynamic investment team. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a proactive approach to learning and problem solving.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent (2:1 or above) in a related business or analytical subject such as finance, business management, real estate, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, science, or engineering. IT literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
