About the Role
The ISD Markets Reliability Engineering Manager provides senior leadership across the full engineering estate supporting LSEG’s Markets business. This role strengthens reliability engineering as a foundational discipline across compute, storage, network, Linux, cloud and application-supporting infrastructure platforms. You will be responsible for embedding modern reliability engineering practices across all technical teams within ISD Markets, improving resilience, and ensuring that critical services are delivered with high stability, performance and regulatory assurance.
As the senior reliability authority, you will partner across Infrastructure, Cloud, Architecture, InfoSec, Application Support and Service Management, while supporting the broader engineering strategy led by the Head of Markets Infrastructure Services.
Key responsibilities include leading, coaching and developing a cross-functional team of Reliability Engineering Managers, embedding a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement, aligning platform teams behind reliability goals, and evolving the Markets Infrastructure Reliability Engineering framework to ensure consistent standards and tooling.
You will provide technical leadership across all technical areas under Markets Infrastructure Services, including infrastructure services, cloud platforms, application operational support, network services, Linux estates, compute, storage and related engineering domains. Acting as a senior SME, you will guide platform modernisation and transformation initiatives including re-architecture, modern compute platforms, containerisation and hybrid-cloud aligned engineering.
Operational stability, risk and compliance are key focuses, driving a proactive reliability and failure-engineering culture, supporting risk, audit and regulatory compliance standards, and partnering with incident, problem and change functions to ensure stability and reduction of systemic risks.
In addition, you will provide technical leadership and reliability assurance for critical Markets infrastructure programmes, support the Markets engineering strategy and demand pipeline, and engage regularly with senior technology and business stakeholders to provide transparency on resilience risks, operational performance and programme dependencies.
Joining LSEG means being part of a team that values innovation, quality and continuous improvement. LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider dedicated to driving financial stability, empowering economies and enabling customers to create sustainable growth. The organisation embraces diversity and inclusion, offers a collaborative and creative culture, and provides a range of tailored benefits and support.

About you

Experience with automation, configuration management and standardised platform builds. Understanding of reliability design for hybrid platforms. Familiarity with security and compliance alignment across infrastructure including hardening, monitoring, identity and auditability. Strong understanding of network, compute, storage and platform resiliency patterns.
