About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London. The post holder will assist the Trust Waste Manager and the wider Sustainability team in delivering an efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective waste management service. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with waste regulations, monitoring service providers, and promoting correct waste segregation across all KCH sites. The role involves participation in sustainability meetings, reporting on service performance, and developing training programs for staff.

Requirements

Experience
Experience of working in Facilities Management at management level. Basic knowledge of waste regulations and Health & Safety legislation. Experience in training and development. Ability to analyze and process complex information.

About you
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Team-oriented with effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.

Qualifications
Diploma level or equivalent experience in Waste Management (CIWM etc.). Willingness to undertake necessary training to achieve NHSE requirements for qualified Waste Managers.
