About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey. This role is for an Ops Engineer specializing in the Microsoft technology stack including Power Platform and Fabric, M365, and Azure. You will support fee-earning projects and programmes in a back-of-house capacity, interfacing with a multi-disciplinary Digital Development team comprising data engineers, app developers, BI developers, as well as end users and platform consumers from both Mace and our client organisations. As part of the global Digital Development community, you will share knowledge and experience with other digital professionals. The role supports delivery on some of the largest commercial and infrastructure projects in the world.
You will be responsible for providing first-line and second-line support for solutions built on Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, including Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Teams. You will interface with Development teams, Support teams, and business users to triage user requests effectively. Managing user access and permissions, including role-based access across Power BI workspaces, SharePoint sites, and M365 groups will be key. You will support the operational configuration of Power Platform environments, including environment setup, access control, and basic governance controls. Additional responsibilities include administering Power BI services such as workspace management, dataset access, gateway configuration, and user troubleshooting. You will monitor and resolve service requests, incidents, and user issues, ensuring adherence to defined SLAs. Maintaining operational documentation, including support processes, access models, and configuration standards, will be essential. You will assist with platform monitoring and health checks, proactively identifying and escalating issues. Continuous improvement of operational processes and user experience is expected throughout your work.
Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates. Even if you do not fulfil all the criteria, you are encouraged to apply as you may still be the best candidate for this or other roles within our organisation. We are open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options where suitable within the role.
