About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. We are looking for an exceptional and commercially minded leader to take forward the strategic transformation of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Pharmaceuticals, one of the UK’s longest-standing NHS Pharmacy Manufacturing Units. This role involves providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of a licensed manufacturing facility, helping to shape and deliver our ambitions for licensed aseptic services, and supporting clinical care, research, and innovation. You will combine commercial credibility with strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and strong business acumen.
Experience
Significant senior leadership experience in NHS, life sciences or manufacturing sectors. Proven financial, commercial, and performance management expertise. Successful management of change in a complex organisation.
About you
Excellent interpersonal, strategic thinking and influencing skills. In-depth understanding of the UK pharmaceuticals market and good understanding of GMP, MHRA licensing, and medicines regulation. Leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and manage competing priorities.
Qualifications
Vocational degree and/or significant NHS or manufacturing experience. Postgraduate management qualification or equivalent experience. Evidence of continuing professional development.
