About the Role
Camden Council is transforming to improve life for all residents and communities. This role sits within the Property Management Service and is accountable for the day-to-day management of the gas service and maintenance, ensuring compliance and driving productivity improvements. Camden Council manages 33,000 homes, with 12,500 served by domestic heating boilers.

As a Mechanical Heating Contracts Supervisor, you will lead the in-house team responsible for maintaining and installing heating systems across Camden’s homes. You will oversee compliance, engineer performance, and service delivery to ensure heating appliances are safe, efficient, and maintained to the highest standards. You will also contribute to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

This role supports Camden’s ambition to provide a high-performing, resident-focused repairs service that meets statutory obligations while promoting quality, safety, and value for money.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Basic DBS check.

Experience
Proven experience in heating services leadership, ideally within residential or social housing environments. Demonstrated ability to manage teams delivering safe, high-quality work and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

You understand compliance and safety regulations, can diagnose and resolve complex heating system issues, and communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences. You are comfortable managing budgets and job tracking systems and are proactive in seeking service improvements and adopting new technologies. Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in heating, gas, or mechanical services are expected. A Basic DBS check is required due to the nature of the role.
