About the Role
As a Development Sports/Multi-Sports Coach with a focus on Tennis and Football, you will help children and young people develop a positive attitude towards sport and encourage physical activity as part of their everyday lives. Acting as a positive role model, you will inspire and motivate children aged 3 to 12, creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment where they can build confidence, skills, and performance.

You will plan and lead recreational and squad coaching sessions tailored to the needs of different groups. Based mainly at Talacre Community Sports Centre, you will maintain accurate participant records, ensure venues and equipment are used safely, and collaborate with schools, community organisations, and other partners to deliver high-quality activities. You may also supervise junior coaches and volunteers and contribute to wider activities across Camden’s Sport and Physical Activity Team.

This is a 12-month fixed term / secondment contract.

Experience
Experience coaching children and young people in at least one key sport, including football or multi-sport activities.

About you
You will be an enthusiastic and positive role model with strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills. Comfortable working with children, parents, teachers, colleagues, and community partners, you maintain high professional standards and accurate records. You will also be able to travel independently to sessions, matches, and meetings when required.

Qualifications
A minimum Level 2 National Governing Body coaching qualification or an equivalent relevant qualification is required. Commitment to continuing professional development is essential.
