About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care nationally. The National Haemoglobinopathy Panel (NHP) is a national organisation commissioned by NHS England, working to improve and harmonise services for patients with haemoglobinopathies such as Sickle Cell Disorder and Thalassaemia. The NHP supports clinical networks, facilitates national consensus, data collection, and expert input for complex cases through monthly multidisciplinary team meetings.
The NHP Assistant will join a dynamic and multifaceted team providing comprehensive and confidential administrative and organisational support. This permanent, part-time role requires a skilled, organised, and energetic individual to manage office duties, prioritise tasks, and support the smooth running of the NHP Office and network. The post holder will exercise independent judgement and initiative, working with minimal supervision to contribute positively to the NHP’s objectives.
The role involves minute-taking, file and data management, organising meetings and events, preparing correspondence, and liaising effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including the NHP Chair, Deputy Chair, panel members, and healthcare professionals across the haemoglobinopathy network. The post holder will also support ongoing projects and ensure efficient office management, including financial responsibilities such as managing payments and ordering supplies.
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is committed to providing high quality, safe, and equitable care, supported by a motivated and engaged workforce. The Trust values diversity and inclusion and supports flexible working arrangements to promote a healthy work-life balance.
