This senior operational and strategic delivery role supports the implementation of a major, long-term international co-branding and strategic partnership approved by the Trust Board. The postholder will lead programme mobilisation, contract delivery, and ongoing partnership management, ensuring contractual commitments are met and delivery is coordinated across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.
The role acts as the day-to-day lead for the partnership, translating contractual requirements into operational delivery plans, establishing governance structures, coordinating teams, and managing performance, risk, and reporting. The successful candidate will help position Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a world-leading provider of private healthcare, strategic partnerships, co-branding opportunities, and consulting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mobilisation and delivery of a complex co-branding partnership including governance setup and readiness to commence services
- Act as primary interface between the Trust and international partner
- Coordinate delivery across clinical groups and corporate teams
- Oversee delivery against contractual KPIs and reporting, escalating risks and issues
- Support contract management, performance assurance, and relationship management
- Prepare senior-level updates and assurance reports for internal stakeholders
Main Duties
- Support development, negotiation, and delivery of high-impact international and UK partnerships and consulting projects aligned with the Trust’s international commercial strategy
- Lead delivery of new projects, strategic initiatives, and commercial relationships to grow international income and enhance global presence
- Work closely with clinical leads and operational teams to align partnership delivery with governance and clinical priorities
- Collaborate with Specialist Care, Commercial Education and Events, and CITI teams to identify shared commercial opportunities
- Support evaluation of new inbound opportunities and prepare strategic proposals and business cases
- Represent the Trust at industry forums and strategic discussions
- Build and manage high-value relationships with international clients, healthcare organisations, and government bodies
- Clearly communicate the Trust’s international offer including private patient services, partnerships, consulting, education, and events
- Oversee project budgeting, invoicing, financial tracking, and risk management
- Prepare regular reports and board-level papers on project performance and strategic alignment
International Working
This role requires international travel to support delivery, relationship management, and governance activities. Applicants must be comfortable working across different healthcare systems and cultures. Arabic language skills are advantageous but not essential.

Experience
- Minimum of three years’ managerial experience within NHS organisations, government health bodies, or international partners, preferably with commercial responsibilities
- Significant experience in developing, designing, and implementing projects or partnerships, including healthcare consulting or partnership delivery
- Proven track record of commercial and strategic working with senior managers and directors
- Experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements
- Experience working across clinical and corporate teams to deliver formal agreements
- Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships professionally
- Experience of international work, large-scale partnerships, or commercially funded programmes is highly beneficial
- Experience presenting information at Board level and proposal development is desirable

Qualifications
- Degree or professional qualification, or equivalent experience in healthcare, business, or international relations
- Price 2 / MSP Practitioner qualification is desirable
Desirable Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of commercial work in the NHS and international healthcare markets, systems, policies, and regulations
- Ability to analyse complex financial and non-financial information
- Strong understanding of healthcare service delivery and commercial contracting in UK and/or international markets
- Experience identifying international opportunities and building overseas stakeholder relationships
