Job overview The role is for the technical support of the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals network infrastructure The Network technician is responsible for all on-site network related activities, as well as liaising with the external suppliers of networks infrastructure The post holder will work closely with Project managers, onsite Clinical Engineering teams, as well as the End User technology department to support all network requests and maintenance. Main duties of the job The job is to provide Network Support to the Royal Brampton and Harefield hospitals. The role will cover both IT project work, as well as staff support and ticket resolution. The post holder will be required to liaise with the third party support for internal structure cabling, and third line network support. The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of on-site network activities, with support of remote 3rd line network support. Supporting the IT Project Team with implementation of new projects Support the WiFi and connectivity issues Support End User technology department for device connectivity issues Support Project Manger for project specific works Person specification Qualifications/ Education Essential criteria Educated to Degree Level in computer science or equivalent work experience. Accreditation as Network Analyst or equivalent work experience. Experience Essential criteria Extensive experience in the IT industry Good understanding of network technology, its direction, and its application to business, including in depth knowledge of LANs, WANs, and WiFi technologies.
