About the Role
Join Sainsbury’s new Partnership Management team and help turn data into decisions that shape one of the company’s most strategically important supplier partnerships. You will bring together operational, financial and service data from multiple teams and the supplier to provide a clear view of partnership performance. Working closely with Partnership Managers, you will check data accuracy, investigate inconsistencies, and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Your dashboards, reports and presentations will drive insights that help stakeholders understand what matters, where action is needed, and what options are available.
In addition to analysis, you will support the partnership’s governance by preparing meeting packs, capturing decisions and following up actions with colleagues across Procurement, Technology and the wider business. As this is a new team, you will help develop practical reporting governance, forums and ways of working, gathering evidence on improvements and new opportunities so Partnership Managers can make informed decisions and track delivered value.
This role offers the chance to influence how the partnership operates, drive technological change and unlock opportunities that AI can bring, all within a fast-moving FTSE business environment where your work will have visible impact.
Experience
Experience supporting supplier, account, service, commercial, project or relationship activity within a business environment, with an understanding of how service or supplier performance affects business outcomes. Demonstrable ability to combine and validate data from multiple sources and stakeholder input, identifying trends, inconsistencies or risks and producing evidence-based recommendations. Proven experience producing accurate reports, dashboards or presentations that clearly explain findings. Ability to coordinate information and activity across multiple teams without direct authority, building working relationships and following up agreed actions.
About you
You enjoy solving complex problems and making sense of ambiguity. You are naturally curious, able to quickly get underneath an issue and comfortable combining data, insight and different perspectives to determine what really matters. You ask constructive questions, challenge assumptions and use evidence to shape practical solutions. You are equally comfortable creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist, bringing different stakeholders together and turning ideas into action. You build relationships across teams, influence at different levels and adapt as priorities evolve. Experience in consulting, transformation, technology, outsourcing, managed services or supplier governance is useful. You are curious about how technology and AI can create new opportunities, improve services and unlock value.
Qualifications
We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Development opportunities are provided and flexible working is supported. While specific qualifications are not detailed, a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are essential.
