About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 3 Patient Access Coordinator in the Dermatology Department at Guy's Cancer Centre. The successful candidate will work as part of an established team that offers outpatient services for the department. We are searching for a committed, motivated person with strong organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. The role will include back office work as well as working in Reception, where you will have direct personal contact with patients. The post holder will have the opportunity to positively influence the patient pathway since the department is strongly committed to providing excellent service. Working with confidential data is a requirement of the position, and the ideal applicant will have excellent customer service and data quality skills.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience of working in an administrative role demonstrating evidence of working with confidential documents and information. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment demonstrating the ability to deal with difficult customers and challenging situations. Experience of working both autonomously and in a team.

About you
Excellent communication skills. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative. Understanding of confidentiality and its application and maintenance in and out of the workplace.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent. Relevant NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience.
Desirable criteria
Qualifications and training in customer service. IT proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Epic software used in hospitals.
