About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Specialist Ambulatory Services at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT). We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and motivated individual to join our team as a Patient Access Coordinator for the Clinical Genetics Team, working within the wider SAS admin team.

The role involves being the first point of contact for patients and service users, providing in-depth knowledge of outpatient and inpatient scheduling procedures for the speciality. You will liaise closely with the clinical team and speciality management to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate appointments according to their care pathway.

Responsibilities include covering the service on a rotation during operational hours, providing clinic reception cover, scheduling functions, general administrative support, and telephone cover for the speciality. This ensures patients can speak to knowledgeable staff who understand their scheduling needs and that clinical teams are supported by experienced administrative personnel.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Clinical Genetics department is one of the largest integrated genetics services in the country, delivering innovative and fully integrated clinical and laboratory services with close links to King’s College London and the National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre.

We pride ourselves on clinical excellence, high quality teaching, research, and providing the best possible patient experience. Our commitment to staff development and a supportive working environment makes this an excellent opportunity for those passionate about healthcare administration and patient services.
