About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The Outpatients team at Evelina London is looking for a Band 3 Patient Access Coordinator to join their busy administrative team. This exciting role allows you to make a direct positive impact on the patient experience of children, young people, and their families. You will be the first point of contact for booking outpatient clinics, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. Previous NHS experience is not essential as training will be provided.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience of working in an administrative role, demonstrating competent data collection and quality, and handling confidential documents. Experience in a customer-focused environment is essential, along with the ability to deal with difficult customers and challenging situations.

About you
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to relate to a diverse group of professionals and the public. Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize workload effectively. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, developing good working relationships with colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications
Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent. Relevant NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience is essential. Desirable qualifications include IT package training such as ECDL and customer service training.
