As Planning Manager, you will contribute to a multi-million-pound programme, placing you at the heart of major construction works with the opportunity to shape outcomes and have a lasting impact on communities and cities.

You will be responsible for directing planning delivery and providing strategic direction aligned to sector, hub and organisational objectives. Supporting commercial governance, negotiations and long-term strategy while upholding Mace values and responsible outcomes will be key. You will enable high-performing, inclusive teams through collaboration, knowledge sharing and strong stakeholder relationships. Developing and integrating robust programmes that reflect logistics, site constraints and sustainable delivery is essential.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating teams, interfaces and reporting, tracking productivity, progress and contractual obligations. You will embed health, safety and net zero outcomes within programme planning and execution, and engage clients and stakeholders by managing work plans, deadlines and project requirements.

Experience
Proven competency to produce programmes and sequence plans with minimal supervision. Experience working within healthcare construction or similar complex programmes is advantageous.

Collaborative and inclusive leader with strong stakeholder management skills. Able to coordinate teams and interfaces effectively while embedding health, safety and sustainability outcomes. Passionate about delivering high-quality construction programmes that meet client and organisational objectives.

Qualifications
Working towards a professional qualification such as CIOB, APM or PMI. Other relevant qualifications specific to local requirements. Intermediate software user with the ability to provide schedule outputs in various formats suited to different audiences and contexts.
