About the Role
Islington Council is focused on making an impact through data-driven decision making. The Power BI Developer/Analyst will lead the development of dashboards across the organisation, supporting the council’s strategic plan to monitor the progress and impact of services. You will work within a larger team of analysts covering various council areas, building dashboards designed for non-technical audiences and ensuring data insights are accessible and actionable. The ideal candidate will have significant end-to-end Power BI development experience, preferably within the public sector, and be fluent in DAX and SQL query writing. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate and influence effectively are essential. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the community and help shape a more equal Islington through data intelligence.

Requirements

Experience
Significant experience in end-to-end Power BI development, preferably within the public sector. Fluent in DAX and able to write and structure SQL queries. Proven experience designing dashboards for non-technical audiences. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
