Hackney is one of Britain's fastest-changing and most exciting boroughs. Our Development Management & Enforcement team provides vital services within the Borough and promotes a culture of positive planning across the Council to maximise benefits for residents and businesses. We are looking to strengthen our teams to maintain a high performing, high morale environment within the Planning Service.

Due to an uplift in workload, we seek an experienced candidate for a 12-month fixed-term period to effectively manage a large caseload of non-major planning applications. This role offers an opportunity to gain senior level experience and carries significant responsibility. Candidates must demonstrate strong organisational skills and reliability befitting the role.

Experience
Proven track record of managing a large caseload of non-major planning applications. Experience mentoring staff is essential. Demonstrated organisational skills and reliability are required.

Qualifications
You must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Town Planning (or equivalent) that supports membership or eligibility for the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
