About the Role
This role sits within a strategic platform engineering team responsible for the production stability, performance and operational readiness of Kubernetes-based platforms supporting LSEG’s latency-sensitive, real-time financial market applications. As a Kubernetes Production Engineer, you will focus on running Kubernetes at scale in production – ensuring clusters, networking, and supporting services are reliable, observable and fit for purpose under real-world load. You will work closely with platform build teams, architects and application owners to harden platforms, improve operational tooling, and ensure services are production-ready before and after go-live. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working close to live systems, diagnosing complex behaviours in distributed environments and continuously improving how Kubernetes platforms are operated. The ideal candidate is comfortable in fast-paced environments, thrives on problem-solving and brings a strong production mindset rather than a purely development or design focus.

Experience
- Proven enterprise Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native network engineering experience on large production environments
- Strong experience operating large-scale Linux-based platforms in production, ideally within hybrid or cloud-native environments
- Solid understanding of containerised workloads and Kubernetes environments from an operational perspective
- Experience diagnosing performance, latency and availability issues across complex distributed systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
- Working knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible and scripting
- Experience with Agile delivery environments and tools such as Jira, Confluence and GitLab
