About the Role

This is a lead position with the opportunity to develop into a Senior Category Manager for the right candidate. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders and leaders to develop category strategies, implement and manage them to deliver their goals. You will manage teams on specific workstreams and initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, to expectation, and meeting targets and KPIs.

Key responsibilities include category management, relationship management, supervising daily team activities, and achieving agreed targets and objectives. You will conduct due diligence and maintain company and market understanding, driving value creation through process, performance, and commercial activity. You will deliver the development and implementation of plans, coordinate activities across the team, and provide support as needed. Managing teams, driving performance and results, and delivering performance management, technical development, and coaching are essential aspects of this role.

Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for proactively identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Experience
Proven experience in procurement or category management roles is desirable. Experience managing teams and delivering on targets and KPIs is essential. Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen are required.
