About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. This is a lead position with the opportunity to develop into a Senior Category Manager for the right candidate. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders and leaders to develop, implement, and manage category strategies that deliver on goals and KPIs. Responsibilities include category management, relationship management, supervising daily team activities, and ensuring the achievement of agreed targets and objectives. You will conduct due diligence and maintain company and market understanding, driving value through process, performance, and commercial activity improvements. You will coordinate activities across the team, provide support, manage performance, and deliver technical development and coaching. Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for proactively identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Experience
Proven experience in category management and procurement, including managing teams and delivering on targets and KPIs. Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders and leading workstreams and initiatives.

Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen. Ability to manage and drive team performance, provide coaching and technical development. Collaborative mindset with a commitment to sustainability and net zero carbon transition goals.
Qualifications
GCSE (or equivalent). A level (or equivalent). Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
