About the Role
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform used by millions of companies worldwide to accept payments, manage their businesses, and grow revenue. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet by making the global economy accessible to everyone. The Foreign Exchange team builds products and infrastructure that enable Stripe users to operate seamlessly across multiple currencies. As businesses increasingly operate globally from launch, managing currencies remains complex and fragmented, involving multiple systems and workflows. Stripe aims to simplify this by becoming the financial home for international businesses, offering a unified solution for holding, converting, and managing currencies and FX risk.
This Product Manager role is a zero-to-one opportunity at the intersection of FX, treasury, and agentic AI. You will define and build Stripe’s agentic currency management capabilities, which may include Stripe-native agents that monitor exposure, recommend actions, and execute within customer-defined policies, or enabling customers’ own agents to leverage Stripe’s FX infrastructure. You will work directly with global businesses to understand their currency-management challenges, identify the initial product focus, and lead it from discovery through launch and iteration.
Your work will involve combining Stripe’s real-time payments, balances, and settlement data with customer forecasts and policies to create continuous, intelligent, and automated currency management workflows. You will define APIs, permissions, controls, and financial primitives to enable safe agent actions. Over time, these systems could evolve from insights to automated execution and exception handling within clear controls.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Design on product experiences, APIs, data models, agent behavior, controls, and system reliability. Additionally, you will partner with Treasury, Risk, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Product Marketing to ensure the products are economically sound, operationally scalable, and customer-ready. Your goal is to focus the broad opportunity, build the first product, measure its success, and shape the roadmap based on learnings.
