About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. As a Project Advisor, you will be responsible for determining project management, technical services, and external resources required for projects. You will deliver project objectives in line with the Project Execution Plan, leading and supervising project teams and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs). You will monitor and actively engage in health, safety, and wellbeing aspects of the project at all stages. Your role includes preparing and modifying project plans, keeping them updated and relevant throughout the project lifecycle. You will oversee project timeframes and budgets, ensuring diligent management and highlighting any risks, challenges, and mitigations. Collaboration with relevant parties and stakeholders is essential to ensure robust quality systems are in place and effectively managed and monitored. You will direct meetings, provide contextual information and analysis, conduct site walks, and ensure all activities are suitably recorded. Partnering with stakeholders, you will be actively involved in risk management and coordinate communication to ensure completion of responsibilities and maintenance of standards and records. You will document and take ownership of project changes as necessary, tracking them accordingly. Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, you will share responsibility for proactively identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

Experience
- Proven experience delivering utility infrastructure solutions including power, gas, potable water, foul water, and telecommunications across new connections, disconnections, diversions, and protection works within technically complex and fast-moving environments.
- Strong working knowledge of service avoidance and safe excavation practices in line with HSG 47.
- Thorough understanding of utilities builder’s work in connection (BWIC) and CDM Regulations.
- Confidence in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams comprising designers, contractors, internal and external stakeholders, local authorities, and community liaison representatives.
- Experience building long-term client relationships and leading high-performing, motivated teams.
- Significant experience in successful delivery phases of utility projects and programmes.
- Expertise in property or infrastructure project management.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience leading elements of large, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of how carbon and sustainability priorities influence project strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications
Professional membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or evidence of equivalent professional or personal development is required.
