About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. The South East Genomic Medicine Service (SE GMS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a focus on communications and engagement functions. You will oversee the planning and implementation of projects and communications initiatives, working across GMS programmes to embed genomic testing into routine care. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of change, creating meaningful impact with cutting-edge genomic technologies. You will collaborate with stakeholders across organisations to support effective communications and engagement across national networks of service providers dedicated to adopting new technologies for patient benefit.
Experience
Essential criteria include experience of designing and delivering effective communication projects or multi-channel campaigns, managing successful projects or service improvements in a multi-professional environment, and working across organisational and professional boundaries to achieve common goals.
Skills
Essential criteria include the ability to write and present accurate and concise materials, deliver complex messages to varied audiences, and basic digital design skills.
Knowledge
Essential criteria include an understanding of principles of science communication and change communication, preferably with some subject matter knowledge in genomic medicine.
