About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Project Manager to deliver multiple fast-paced property investment programmes for major FMCG retail clients. This role is within our consultancy business, specifically the commercial private sector, offering the opportunity to broaden experience beyond retail through fit-out and relocation projects for major corporate clients.
You will join a UK-wide team of Project Managers delivering a variety of investment types including new store fit-outs, extensions, refurbishments, planned asset renewals, and initiative rollouts. Reporting to the Mace account/programme lead, you will manage several projects simultaneously, with values ranging from £40k to £20m.
Key responsibilities include applying technical health and safety expertise while promoting an inclusive culture, delivering project plans from inception to construction, managing tasks and deliverables to support senior leaders, overseeing budgets, risks, and long-term functional development, managing design and consultant teams collaboratively, leading teams and stakeholders to achieve KPIs, and networking to drive best-practice adoption across programmes.
A valid driving licence and willingness to travel are essential for managing projects within your geographic area.
Experience
- Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent professional or personal development.
- Proven experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes within the FMCG retail sector.
- Expertise in property or infrastructure project management.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
