About the Role
The Optimisation CoreTech Strats team builds the systems at the heart of Quantile’s client services. As a large, diverse, and highly collaborative engineering team, we design and deliver the infrastructure, applications, and data pipelines that enable financial institutions to securely submit risk and trade data to Quantile. We are seeking a mid-level Python Developer to join our team and contribute to building and enhancing systems that power large-scale optimisation runs used by global financial institutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Development and Financial Engineering colleagues to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions while developing your expertise in infrastructure systems and software engineering.

Your responsibilities will include validating and integrating financial data into optimisation algorithms and ensuring results are delivered back to clients securely, reliably, and on time. Additionally, you will develop analytics and feedback capabilities to help both Product Management and clients better understand outcomes and identify improvements for future optimisation runs through adjustments to inputs, parameters, and workflows.

Our technology stack centers on Python for backend development, extensive use of AWS services, and React on the frontend. Data is managed across PostgreSQL (RDS), Redshift/Snowflake, and S3.

About you
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Exposure to AI-assisted tools or workflow automation in a secure, responsible engineering environment is desirable
