About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. We are seeking a Quality and Safety Lead to oversee the Heart directorate's quality and safety portfolio within the HLCC clinical group. This role involves driving continuous improvement, engaging with clinical and operational teams, and managing a group of analysts and staff focused on quality and governance. The position requires 2-3 days on-site at the quality and safety office and heart wards, with flexible working options available.

Requirements

Experience
Extensive experience in quality and governance, including implementing and maintaining a quality management system. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a fast-paced team.

About you
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure an efficient corporate approach to quality and training matters.

Qualifications
Educated to master's level or equivalent experience. Postgraduate qualification related to health service, clinical audit, risk management, or quality improvement is essential. Knowledge of clinical governance issues is desirable.
