Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk as a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that understands complexity and responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

The Ratings and Research Support (RRS) Summer Internship is a 10-week full-time program designed to help students develop valuable skills for a future career in financial services. Interns will be assigned to the Sovereign and Sub-Sovereign (Sub-Sov) rating group and support analytical teams on projects and day-to-day work. Responsibilities include participating in case studies, working on analytical, research, data, and process-related projects, collecting data and identifying trends to support credit conclusions, preparing financial documents, charts, and presentations, monitoring media outlets for relevant news, providing analytical and research support to the rating team, and contributing to high-quality research publications.

This internship offers a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture, with opportunities for networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series, and volunteer events. Interns complete meaningful project work aligned with real business priorities, gaining confidence and practical experience. Throughout the program, participants receive mentorship from Moody’s professionals, gain exposure to diverse career paths, and develop a broader understanding of the company. Successful interns may be considered for a Ratings Associate position after graduation.
