About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care nationally. The R&D Office and Reception Administrator will provide high-quality reception and administrative support to the Research & Development (R&D) Department, overseeing reception duties and managing the R&D Reception Administrator (Band 3). Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, booking and organising meeting rooms, coordinating research events and meetings within the NIHR Research & Development Department and Clinical Research Facility, maintaining accurate records and databases, and delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves minute taking, AV/IT setup, managing large events for directors and executives, and generating income through managing external events when room availability permits. The post holder will play a vital role in the efficient day-to-day operations of the department and may be required to work independently, providing operational cover across different floors as needed.

The R&D Department is a national leader in innovative research, with strong partnerships across the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Department of Health & Social Care, and Health Research Authority. The Trust is a top NHS organisation for NIHR portfolio studies and recruitment, with a significant research budget and active involvement in commercial clinical trials and applied research collaborations.
