About the Role
Framestore’s Immersive Studio is a world-leading innovator in crafting immersive experiences that transcend the screen, catapulting you into extraordinary realms of adventure. Combining unrivalled creative craftsmanship with technical prowess, we reframe expectations for IP owners and their guests through creative technology, location-based entertainment, and mind-blowing theme park rides. Driven by creativity and inspired by the future, we set out every day to reframe the possible.

We are looking for a Realtime Generalist to join our growing Immersive team. You will collaborate with developers, artists, and production to create beautiful, optimised real-time content for location-based entertainment, VR, and immersive experiences. This role is ideal for someone with a strong artistic eye and solid technical knowledge who enjoys solving creative challenges in Unreal Engine and pushing the boundaries of real-time production.

You will work at the intersection of art and technology, helping bring environments, characters, and effects to life in Unreal Engine. Collaborating with artists across departments, you will develop assets, lighting, and visual effects that meet Framestore’s high standards for immersive work. Responsibilities include creating optimised assets, shaders, lighting, and particle effects; building high-quality real-time environments; adapting and optimising assets from art and VFX teams; applying strong lighting techniques and guiding others on best practices; creating blueprints and editor tools to automate tasks and speed workflows; and optimising content for performance while sharing modelling and texturing best practices.

- Confidence with Photoshop, ZBrush/Mudbox, and Substance Painter
- Experience across a full digital art pipeline, from modelling to level art and rendering
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset

About You
- Hands-on experience with lookdev, lighting, and rendering in real-time environments is a plus
- Passion for innovation and helping shape the future of real-time immersive storytelling
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and adapt to potential international travel requirements
