About the Role
We are looking for a so-positive-it's-infectious Receptionist to join us at The Hoxton, Shepherd's Bush. You will be responsible for providing a naturally friendly, helpful and responsive level of service to all our guests, ensuring they are treated as individuals and will want to return. Our fourth London Hoxton is located in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, an eclectic and diverse neighbourhood, featuring 237 playfully designed bedrooms and an all-day restaurant, Chet’s, serving Thai American comfort food. The hotel includes a large open lobby with vintage seating and cosy corners, a central wraparound bar and terrace, making it the perfect base for exploring West London.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a positive and friendly attitude at all times, managing guest arrival and departure processes in line with standard operating procedures, handling in-house guest requests and feedback, ensuring accuracy of guest billing, financial transactions and the Reception float, and completing night reception tasks accurately. You will also ensure all guests are quoted the correct rates, answer telephone calls promptly, maintain security observation over guests and property, report and follow up on maintenance issues, and keep public and back of house areas clean and presentable. Collaboration with hotel teams and outsourced partners to ensure guest satisfaction is essential. You will also be a member of the hotel’s crisis and fire teams.

Experience
Previous hotel or similar experience is advantageous but not essential. We value eagerness to learn and a positive attitude above all.

You have a helpful attitude and remain calm under pressure. Confidence and the ability to work independently, especially during night shifts with a smaller team, are key. You are passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests and colleagues.
