About the Role

At Cygnet Hospital Harrow, you will be part of a recovery-focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems, including specialist diagnostic, assessment, and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. You will work 40 hours per week across day and night shifts, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include producing outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations, working closely with the management team to develop the service, audit and improve quality, attending all training and engaging in continuous professional development (CPD), ensuring individual care plans are complete and maintained in collaboration with residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals, and administering prescribed medicines in line with healthcare procedures and guidelines.

Experience
Newly qualified or experienced RMN/RNLD with a current PIN number. Capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits.
About you
Open, compassionate, honest, and resilient. Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 and up to date with latest nursing practices. Able to deputise in a clinical lead role. Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage, and reduce risk. Committed to empowering and supporting service user independence.
Qualifications
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with current NMC registration. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
