Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions. Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients. In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world-leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. Job overview Registration Authority Agent Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Information Governance and Management team. The Health Records Department provides Smartcard and Registration services to clinicians, managers and staff on behalf of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust This is a varied and challenging role in a complex and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have previous NHS experience, ideally within a health records or information governance environment. The candidate MUST have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a good team player. Assist the Deputy RA Manager and RA Manager with coordinating the planning and delivery of the Registration Authority service. Ensure users have only one NHS CRS Smartcard issued to them showing their User’s Unique Identifier (UUID) and photograph, and that users are aware of their responsibilities relating to Information Governance and Smartcard use. Ensure that access profiles specified by sponsors use the method identified by the organisation. Enable locum, agency, and bank staff access to NHS CRS compliant applications in line with agreed NHS processes. Adhere to the Trust policy and ensure that all RA forms and associated information are maintained and securely stored according to national policy. Report incidents of misuse, anomalies, or problems to the Access to Information Manage and initiate local Risk Management procedures.
