About the Role
Hackney Education provides a range of services to support the education of children, young people and adults in our inner London borough. Hackney is one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving one of London’s best places to live and work. Within our diverse borough we serve a wide range of children and young people, with a particular focus on supporting less advantaged families. Hackney ranks in the 10% most deprived boroughs in England on a number of measures.
Our key priority is to improve the life chances of every child, young person and learner by making Hackney the most forward looking education system in the UK. We aim to create an exciting environment where schools, settings and partners ensure inclusion and success for everyone. We see Hackney as one of the best places in the country for young people to grow, learn, develop and achieve – and one of the best places for colleagues to work and thrive.
We are looking for a highly skilled, enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Early Years Room Lead to join our vibrant Children and Family Hub team. In this role, you will support the Senior Children’s Centre Officer and Teacher to ensure the provision of high quality integrated care and early years education for children.
If you have experience working in early years and staff management and are seeking a rewarding and challenging career with young children, consider applying for the position of Early Years Room Lead.
Hackney Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This role involves regulated activity; the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and additional pre-employment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education statutory guidance. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and its amendments.
Experience
Experience of working in early years settings and staff management is essential.
About you
You will be highly skilled, enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate about early years education. We welcome applications from disabled people and people from Black and Global Majority backgrounds as these groups are currently underrepresented in our workforce. We also support flexible working arrangements.
