The School Organisation and Place Planning Team plays a crucial role in Hackney’s education strategy, which focuses on providing high-quality education for every child by developing an agile and sustainable school system. This system builds on existing collaborative models while addressing challenges such as fluctuating pupil numbers, limited resources, and the growing needs of children requiring significant support.

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and experienced School Organisation Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is responsible for the development and delivery of projects within the school organisation and place planning team. The role involves a wide range of tasks essential to the effective evolution and management of our school infrastructure. It requires experience in project planning and process improvement and adds operational capacity by supporting colleagues in their duties.

Educated to degree level, equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience is required. This post is not subject to a DBS requirement. All workers are expected to operate flexibly to support service delivery and may be required to undertake responsibilities outside the normal remit of the role as needed.

Experience
Proven and successful project management/support experience with a track record of developing pragmatic approaches and structured plans to bring about change.

- Able to demonstrate an understanding of the wider context of school places in relation to the Council’s corporate strategy and the needs of key stakeholders and partners (internal and external).
- Confident in project planning and the use of relevant project management tools and applications.
- Strong communication skills with excellent rapport building and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, managers, and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex information and use this in written reports and verbally to inform service development.
- Confidence in presenting highly accurate and relevant quality data in a variety of formats.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level, equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience.
