Hours
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to commence duties between 07:00am and 11:00am and conclude the shift between 15:00pm and 19:00pm. Working 7 hours per day excluding a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Hours may vary to meet the security service's needs.
Salary
£33,230 - £36,500 per annum inclusive of London Weighting
About the Role
We are seeking to recruit two Security Officers to work flexibly 35 hours per week at the Central Criminal Court. The principal duties include ensuring the safety of court users, monitoring CCTV, and scanning facility users using X-ray machines and handheld metal detectors. Duties will be carried out within the CCC precinct, including public galleries. The post holder will have opportunities for voluntary overtime paid at an enhanced rate. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months. The role requires SC Clearance (security check) vetting and a Standard Disclosure & Barring Service check.
Experience
Proven experience working in high-volume and high-volatility environments with a strong track record in customer service.
About you
Flexible and adaptable in approach. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to undertake delegated tasks effectively in emergency situations. A willingness to obtain a SIA Door Supervisor licence within the first 6 months is essential; possession of this licence is desirable at application.
Qualifications
Customer Services, Social Care, or Security NVQ or recognised equivalent qualification is required.
