
Location
City of London, Tower Bridge and associated premises including the Engine Rooms.
Hours
38.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern working 4 days on / 4 days off. Shifts are 07:00 – 19:00 or 19:00 – 07:00 with an 11-hour shift including a 1-hour unpaid break.
Salary
£40,008 - £44,128 inclusive of all allowances.
About the Role
Join the dedicated security team protecting one of London's most recognisable landmarks, Tower Bridge. This varied and rewarding role combines security operations, public safety, customer service, and emergency response. You will provide a professional, proactive, and responsive security service across Tower Bridge, the Engine Rooms, and associated premises. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring CCTV and security systems, conducting patrols, responding to incidents and emergencies, supporting evacuation and emergency procedures, managing contractor access, liaising with emergency services, supporting Bridge Lift operations, and producing accurate incident reports. You will also assist visitors and deliver excellent customer service at all times. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the safety and security of visitors, staff, and a nationally significant site within a professional and supportive team environment.
Experience
- Security experience within a visitor attraction, museum, exhibition venue, or similar customer-facing environment is desirable.
- Experience of CCTV monitoring and security systems.
- Experience following procedures and producing written reports.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety principles.

- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive during incidents and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Current SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence (desirable).
- First Aid at Work qualification or willingness to undertake training (desirable).
- Experience with access control systems, fire alarms, emergency procedures, and conducting risk assessments is advantageous.
