About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London, including specialist care for cancer, renal, orthopaedic, respiratory, and cardiovascular services. The SELCA Cancer Improvement Manager – ACCEND Implementation Lead will be responsible for leading a programme of work to support provider organisations in implementing the Aspirant Cancer Career Education and Development (ACCEND) framework. This role involves working collaboratively with Lead Cancer Nurses, AHP leads, and Workforce leads to co-design a programme that enhances cancer workforce capabilities. The successful candidate will deliver transformational change, quality improvements, and value to support Trusts in implementing the ACCEND framework for nurses, AHPs, and non-clinical support roles within cancer.
Experience
Workforce project management experience in large complex organisations within cancer services. Successful change management experience, with evidence of having achieved sustained improvement in workforce transformation, services, or pathways.
About you
Excellent knowledge of early diagnosis of cancer, cancer pathways, and cancer performance standards. Ability to collaborate constructively with internal and external partners to create successful partnerships. Strong management skills to deliver projects within deadlines and resources.
Qualifications
(Masters) degree or equivalent professional qualification. Demonstrable capability for clinical service management at a senior level in a large, complex acute hospital environment, including staff management, financial management, and change management.
