About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving complex challenges together.

Reporting to the team's Technical Director and under the guidance of the Principal/Senior Staff, you will play a key role providing project support for onsite monitoring as well as office-based tasks including 3D modelling, data analysis, and reporting. You will support the Environmental and Building Acoustics sections in delivering projects across the UK, including large infrastructure schemes such as HS2 and Lower Thames Crossing, alongside specialist building design projects.

You will assist the management team on a project basis to meet budgetary, quality, and timeframe targets, with the potential to be fully trained on Arcadis Project Management Systems.

Key responsibilities include undertaking building and environmental acoustic assessments (EIA, RIBA, GRIP stages), conducting acoustic site monitoring surveys across the UK and Europe as appropriate, data analysis and interpretation to support technical reports and design advice, and 3D acoustic modelling using proprietary software such as SoundPLAN, ODEON, INSUL, IMMI, and NoiseMAP 5.0. Knowledge of any mainstream acoustic modelling software is essential.

You will also ensure compliance with relevant UK environmental and building acoustics specifications, standards, and guidance, promote health and safety awareness within the team, and perform other duties as required by management or Arcadis.
