London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking an enthusiastic Senior AI Engineer passionate about working with the latest artificial intelligence technologies and techniques. In this role, you will leverage expertise in Azure architecture, AI Foundry, Cosmos DB, API Management, Langfuse, Datadog, and advanced retrieval techniques such as RAG and vector databases. You will develop experimental agents, manage AI workflows, and contribute to the evolution of AI models including GPT-5.6, Fable 5, and GLM-5. Experience
- Azure architecture and engineering including landing zones, networking, storage, compute, and DNS configuration
- Azure AI Foundry: models, agents, deployments, and endpoints
- Azure AI Search: indexes, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, and vector databases
- Azure Cosmos DB usage for agents and memory storage
- Azure API Management (APIM) for secure exposure and management of large language models (LLMs)
- Azure observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Azure Workbooks
- Langfuse: designing evaluations, assessing outcome quality, token usage, and cost
- Datadog for logging, observability, and LLM analytics
- Advanced retrieval techniques including RAG, vector databases, hybrid search, semantic ranking, query rewriting, reranking, and metadata filtering
- LiteLLM as an AI and Model Context Protocol (MCP) gateway and integration with MCP servers
- Contemporary AI models such as Fable 5, GPT-5.6, GLM-5, and their performance and behaviour
- Claude Code, Codex, open-source agent harnesses, and GitHub Copilot configuration and telemetry
- OpenTelemetry (OTel) ingestion into Langfuse
- Development of experimental agents using Azure AI Foundry Agent Service and Azure AI SDKs
- Advanced Langfuse usage including datasets, experiments, prompt management, custom evaluators, tracing, and cost analysis
About you
- Passionate about AI engineering and working with cutting-edge technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, innovative environment
- Experience designing and evaluating multi-agent workflows including delegation, shared context, permissions, and termination conditions
- Skilled in creating synthetic test data, adversarial test cases, evaluation datasets, and regression tests for AI experiments
- Ability to manage complex AI projects and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business goals
Desirable Skills
- Building AI applications with LangChain and LangGraph including agents, tool calling, memory, checkpoints, and human approval stages
- Building document-processing workflows using Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure AI Search
- Applying Azure AI Content Safety and other guardrails to prompts, retrieved content, model responses, and tool execution
Qualifications
Relevant experience and demonstrated expertise in AI engineering and Azure AI technologies are essential. Formal qualifications are valued but not explicitly required; a strong track record of delivering AI solutions and continuous learning mindset is critical.
