We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join our transit team, supporting the delivery of major projects as well as managing a range of smaller projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects for a growing client base within a highly creative, collaborative, and inclusive environment focused on innovative problem solving and design excellence.

In this position, you will coordinate design and construction phases of projects of varying sizes, deliver high-quality architectural solutions, lead elements of projects independently, manage junior and technician team members, and support Studio management with programming and resourcing reviews. You will run significant transit projects, build strong client relationships, work collaboratively within teams, and provide mentorship.

Role Accountabilities
- Lead and support projects with responsibility for internal program and budget management, and effective time and resource management for your team
- Engage in all project phases: design development, working drawings, contract administration, and on-site services
- Provide support to transit operator and contractor clients, thriving in a construction environment
- Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with other disciplines
- Lead elements of large or complex projects or manage smaller projects independently
- Maintain project documentation, drawings, and specifications; review submittals and promote best practice and design knowledge within the Studio
- Process change control requests during construction, address RFIs, and assist in preparation of proposals, submissions, and presentations
- Interface with statutory authorities during design and construction phases
- Adhere to quality management, environmental management systems, and health & safety procedures
- Resolve complex technical and design issues and contribute to technical design reviews across projects

Experience
- Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience as a RIBA Part 3 qualified and ARB registered architect
- Proven background working on complex UK projects, collaborating with contractors during detailed design and construction stages
- Experience leading larger projects as part of a team and providing day-to-day leadership on smaller projects
- Proficient in Revit, Bentley Microstation, and Aecosim/BIM as industry standard tools
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, design standards, and best practices including Network Rail and London Underground/TfL standards and guidance
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations and Building Regulations Principal Designer responsibilities
