About the Role
Greystar is a leading, fully integrated global real estate platform specializing in property management, investment management, development, and construction services for institutional-quality rental housing. Headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, Greystar manages and operates over $300 billion of real estate across more than 265 markets worldwide. As the largest operator of apartments in the United States, Greystar manages over one million units globally and has nearly $79 billion of assets under management.
The Senior Client Accountant holds ultimate accountability for delivering best-in-class financial reporting to Greystar’s institutional clients across a defined portfolio of assets. This role focuses on client relationship management and business partnering, overseeing and owning the quality of outsourced financial reporting rather than its production. Acting as the central point of accountability for reporting quality and the primary relationship owner for clients, the Senior Client Accountant translates financial performance into meaningful narrative and insight, bridging outsourced accounting, site teams, asset management, and HQ departments to deliver seamless, value-added reporting.
The role sets and maintains the reporting standards for the outsourced team, ensuring every client deliverable is accurate, insightful, and of the highest quality. Responsibilities include oversight of reporting accuracy and timeliness, engagement with site teams to validate financial data, managing client relationships with confidence, and supporting internal business partnering across asset management, mobilisation, and property management teams. The Senior Client Accountant also manages audit processes, ensures compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal controls, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and quality.

About you
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to translate complex financial data into clear, meaningful narrative for non-finance and client audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to engage effectively with clients, site teams, outsourced providers, and senior leadership.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple client reporting cycles simultaneously while maintaining quality under deadline pressure.
- Collaborative and proactive, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
