About the Role
As a Senior Sports Coach, you will lead and develop sports programmes with a particular focus on workforce and programme development. You will plan and manage sessions, supervise and support a team of coaches, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, inclusive activities. Your role will involve growing participation, supporting talent development to enable participants to compete at higher levels, and ensuring all sessions are safe, accessible, and engaging. This hands-on role combines coaching, operational management, and workforce development, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing delivery with leadership. You will contribute to service improvement and innovation, ensuring programmes meet community needs and reflect sector developments. You will manage up to 6 FTE staff (mostly part-time) and work closely with colleagues across Camden and external partners including British Gymnastics, schools, and local clubs. The role requires some attendance at competitions, events, and meetings with schools, community organisations, and delivery partners.
Experience
Strong experience designing and delivering high-quality coaching programmes for children and young people. Confident in leading both recreational and squad sessions. Experience working with parents, schools, and community partners is essential.

A natural leader who can manage, motivate, and empower a team of coaches and volunteers while acting as a positive role model for staff, participants, and the wider community. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential. You have an understanding of safeguarding and inclusion and the ability to design services that break down barriers to participation.
Qualifications
Minimum Level 4 NGB qualification, or Level 3 NGB qualification with extensive relevant experience and working towards Level 4 (or equivalent).
