About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Cost Consultant to join our Cost Management team, working within the Private Commercial Sector in a seconded Cost Management Office (CMO) / Programme Management Office (PMO) role for a global Corporate Real Estate client. This role involves supporting the Cost/Commercial PMO lead across a full range of benchmarking, capital planning, project budgeting, forecasting, and strategic procurement services.

You will be responsible for managing consistent cost management and reporting across multiple projects alongside the Commercial Lead, overseeing cost planning, benchmarking, procurement, cashflow, contract and claims governance. You will maintain and enhance cost and commercial databases ensuring accuracy and data integrity, monitor budgets, accruals, contingencies, risks and change control against agreed baselines, and analyse project trends through dashboards and reporting tools to inform decision-making. Building reliable forecasts and benchmarks to measure programme performance will be key.

Additionally, you will manage and develop Cost Consultants, driving high performance and continuous improvement, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support net-zero ambitions through responsible delivery.

At Mace, we value safety, client focus, integrity, and creating opportunities for our people to excel. We champion a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment and are open to discussing part-time, flexible, and hybrid working options where suitable within the role.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Able to manage and develop teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and support sustainability and net-zero ambitions.
