About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. As a Senior Digital Engineering & BIM Manager, you will support the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring digital engineering and BIM processes align with project goals and client requirements. You will assess current project resources, develop BIM execution plans (BEP), and lead the development of clients’ digital handover strategies. Your role includes maintaining compliance with ISO 19650 and related standards, implementing governance and assurance processes, and monitoring digital handover to completion. You will be responsible for producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR), information standards, methods, procedures, and shared resources. You will also manage object library development, assure and check the Information Model, and produce the Information Model (Pre-RIBA Stage 3). Additionally, you will review Autodesk Construction Cloud account management and research new technology solutions to improve BIM processes, including emerging technologies. Supporting construction sequencing strategies and cost planning through information models will be key, alongside providing training on databases, data analysis, assurance, COBie production, and other BIM topics. You will upskill client teams, Mace project managers, and design teams through BIM knowledge sharing sessions and collaborate closely with PM and Design teams to ensure compliance with the Mace Way. You will identify and implement continuous improvement plans and maintain strong internal and external relationships, managing and influencing key senior stakeholders. A commitment to the net zero carbon transition is essential, sharing responsibility for identifying and managing carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery. This role requires BPSS clearance and the right to work in the UK.
Experience
Proven experience in digital engineering and BIM management within construction or consultancy environments. Advanced understanding of ISO 19650, BS1192, common data environment (CDE), IFC, COBie, and classification systems. Experience in developing BIM execution plans, digital handover strategies, and managing information models. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and emerging BIM technologies. Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Qualifications
Level 6 qualification or equivalent (e.g., degree apprenticeship, Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons, Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons, graduate certificate/diploma, level 6 award/certificate/diploma, level 6 NVQ). BPSS clearance and right to work in the UK are essential.
