About the Role
Be part of a dynamic team delivering the traffic engineering programme for Islington Council. As a Senior Traffic Engineer within the Lighting and Traffic Engineering service, you will be responsible for design, estimation, project management, and site supervision of a variety of schemes including public realm, cycleway, liveable neighbourhood, and general traffic projects. This permanent role involves line management of junior staff and regular liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as Council departments, contractors, utility companies, developers, police, and members of the public. You will work closely with the term maintenance contractor to successfully deliver a borough-wide programme of high-profile schemes. Reporting to the Traffic Manager and Principal Engineers, you will play a key role in delivering Islington Council’s Traffic and Engineering programme. Experience
Proven experience in traffic engineering, including design, project management, and site supervision of traffic-related schemes. Experience in line management and stakeholder engagement is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in engineering or a related discipline are required. Evidence of professional registrations or memberships is desirable.
