As a Senior Estimator, you will work within a multidisciplinary estimating team responsible for preparing, reviewing, and assuring detailed electrical and mechanical cost estimates, including indirect costs, allowances, risks, and opportunities. You will maintain clear audit trails of estimating assumptions, methodologies, benchmarks, and source data to ensure transparency and confidence in decision making.

You will lead the development and delivery of robust, accurate, and risk-informed capital cost estimates for complex multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects. The role focuses on electrical, mechanical, and MEP systems across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through detailed design and delivery, supporting both onshore and offshore programmes.

You will develop and own the estimating strategy and execution plan, coordinate inputs from engineering, commercial, and project controls teams, and ensure estimates comply with Arcadis methodologies, governance requirements, and industry best practices including CESMM4, ICMS2, and ICMS3. You will provide technical leadership during estimate reviews, support independent assurance activities, and present estimate outcomes and key cost drivers to estimating leadership, project stakeholders, and senior management.

Experience
- Significant experience in electrical, mechanical, or MEP estimating.
- Proven track record producing estimates for large and complex capital programmes.
- Strong understanding of Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) development and integration.
- Working knowledge of CESMM4, ICMS2, and ICMS3 estimating and cost classification methodologies.
- Experience in sectors such as Nuclear, Defence, Energy, Utilities, Transportation, or Buildings.
- Strong understanding of cost planning, risk analysis, and benchmarking techniques.
- Experience reviewing contractor pricing and commercial submissions.
- Proficient with CostX, Candy, Excel, Power BI, benchmarking databases, risk and uncertainty modelling, quantity take-off, cost planning, and cost assurance.
