About the Role
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. With over 34,000 people in more than 30 countries, we are dedicated to improving quality of life by solving the world’s most complex challenges together.

The Senior Electrical & Mechanical Estimator leads the development and delivery of robust, accurate, and risk-informed capital cost estimates for complex multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects. This role focuses on electrical, mechanical, and MEP systems across the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through detailed design and delivery, supporting both onshore and offshore programmes.

The Senior Estimator develops and owns the estimating strategy and execution plan, coordinates inputs from engineering, commercial, and project controls teams, and ensures estimates comply with Arcadis methodologies, governance, and industry best practices including CESMM4, ICMS2, and ICMS3. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining integrated Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) aligned with project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to ensure consistency, traceability, and effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Working within a multidisciplinary estimating team, the Senior Estimator prepares, reviews, and assures detailed electrical and mechanical cost estimates, including indirect costs, allowances, risks, and opportunities. The role maintains clear audit trails of assumptions, methodologies, benchmarks, and source data to support transparency and confidence in decision making.

The Senior Estimator provides technical leadership during estimate reviews, supports independent assurance activities, and presents estimate outcomes and key cost drivers to leadership, project stakeholders, and senior management. Additionally, the role contributes to continuous improvement of estimating processes, mentors junior estimators, and supports the growth of Arcadis' estimating capability through knowledge sharing, coaching, and best practice application across major infrastructure, nuclear, defence, energy, and industrial programmes.
