About the Role
As an Arcadian, you help deliver world-leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. This role is within the Arcadis Mobility Programme Management & Commercial Management unit, seeking highly skilled Senior Project Planners to lead planning and scheduling for a major programme in London and the south of England. This pivotal role combines strategic planning and performance reporting to ensure successful project delivery. You will play a key role in delivering mobility infrastructure projects across rail, highways, and aviation sectors, driving continuous improvement and adopting emerging digital tools. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining project baseline plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules aligned with delivery objectives; monitoring progress and implementing recovery plans; reporting on earned value and performance to support financial forecasting; analysing project data to identify trends and risks; ensuring compliance with planning standards and lifecycle frameworks; auditing contractor plans and monitoring adherence to Network Rail procedures; collaborating with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders to deliver value and build strong relationships.
Experience
Minimum 7 years of project planning and scheduling experience, ideally within major rail or infrastructure programmes. Proven ability to manage complex projects with robust project controls throughout the lifecycle.

Proactive in driving continuous improvement and adopting new digital planning tools. Familiarity with different contracting environments and commercial models. Qualifications
Degree, HNC, or HND in Engineering, Project Management, or a related subject. Proficient in planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. Experience with project controls, cost engineering, and financial operations. Desirable qualifications include membership of a relevant professional body, Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, and a broad understanding of rail, highways, or aviation engineering, construction, and investment planning systems.
